The Flower That Saved Him

Rocky is a calm, sleek black dog who lives to work on his owners ranch. He loves his owner, Ava, very much, and will always protect and help her. Nothing could ever separate them. But would if something could? One day, Rocky travels to his favorite spot, which is also forbidden: the creek. On a stormy day, normally he would be cuddled inside Avas warm home, but Ava was too busy to notice him leave, so here he was, trotting into the creek. Lightning flashes. Thunder rumbles, and Rocky is startled head first into the creek. He hits his delicate head on the slippery rocks, and his legs flail as he struggles to find purchase. The creek rushes, and it's sinking him under. The last thing he sees before passing out is a herd of horses, grazing in a field of flowers, specifically Sky Pilots. He ends up far, far from home, in between two monstrous mountains that have never been civilized or crossed by humans-only wildlife. How will Rocky ever get home? Will he get home safely, or will he get home as battered and brusied as the mountains he left? Or worse, will he even make it home at all?
