I looked up at the canopy above, where the leaves clung stubbornly to the branches, their vibrant colors a final act of defiance before they would inevitably fall. The sight reminded me of the men and women marching beside me, each of us holding on to our hopes, our fears, our determination, knowing that this could be our final stand. Just as the trees shed their leaves to prepare for the harsh winter ahead, we too were preparing to face the inevitable-a battle that would decide our fate.

Broken Boundaries
A while ago the question of what if an alien is so cute, a straight guy can't help but still fall in love depite the alien being male, came to me. And of course, the idea for a new story was born soon thereafter. This is the result, my latest novel set in the science fiction Aoyu Universe as of this writing, and the first (and at this time only) gay/bisexual romance themed story that I've written. --- During the Earth-Silth conflicts, two commanders of opposing warships played a game of chicken at one of the outer known solar systems, the result being a head-on collision and two ships fused together at the bows. After the cease fire agreement plans were made to salvage what they could from the ships and Alain from Earth was sent as part of a two man crew to recover components from the Earth vessel while a team from the Silth would handle theirs.
