in december 2018, a new recruit joins "The Outsiders", adding a new female superhero onto the squad. Her superheroine alias is named Arcana, which means secrets and mysteries. her power is derived from voodoo magic, that ranges from telepathy to spell/hex casting, but the list can go on, making her a powerhouse on the team.

her voodoo skills are not from no where! growing up as Evangeline Duval, she was born and raised in Louisiana by the performing duo of the Dazzling Duvals, passing down a tradition of magic and sorcery from a long line of family. with these tricks, it was no surprise she was a performer just like her parents and received recognition for this all around the globe. this leads to one of her old colleagues, Garfield Logan, to reach out and ask for her to join the new squad.

when she reluctantly agrees and arrives, she simply becomes enamored of her fellow teammate, Blue Beetle or otherwise known as Jaime Reyes. what happens when Jaime wants to start flirting with this new girl?
