"I don't trust people who wear fake smiles."
Your gaze turned to him when he stepped forward.
The way he looked down on you, not only because his height is taller than yours but also because you could tell he feels like it, you'd be lying if you said that's not doing something to your mind.
But you were never one to back down. You didn't flinch or shy away like everyone else. No, you raised your head and met his stare head-on. A challenge. "And I don't trust people who silently watch others like a creep."
He huffed a laugh, his gaze darkening as he looked down at you.
He took another step forward, bringing himself close to you, towering over you. He could just lean down, reach out, grab your chin-
His hands clenched into a fist, stopping his thoughts for a millisecond.
"I don't watch like a creep, princess," he drawled, his voice low. "I observe."
"Ohh~ Freaky." You mused as your eyes locked on his brown one. The eyes that look so dead and dark when you see it from afar, now up close, it was more of a soft brown that radiates warmth under the light of the autumn sun.
"I like that." You added with a lopsided grin.
In which, a 15 year old signs up to play the games, unknowing of the friendships she'd make and the people she'd lose.
