Cassie Davidson, an 18-year-old college student, has always felt an unexplained connection to cars and racing. Growing up without her father, whose disappearance remains a mystery, she and her best friend Noah set out to uncover the truth about his past. But with a halt, they find an old, abandoned garage on the outskirts of town, where they discover a black 2020 Ford Mustang adorned with racing stickers, green flames, and the number 20.

The car seems to call to Cassie, but she soon learns it's far more than a relic. The Mustang is alive with a power she can't understand. To find out her father's story and her family's hidden past, she uncovers the truth, and Cassie discovers the car's origins are deeply entwined with her own history, setting her on a dangerous path of secrets, betrayal, and unearthly power.

She doesn't know that some truths are better left buried, and the Mustang may be the key to rewriting everything she thought she knew about herself and the past that's never finished with her.
