This is a story about two soulmates. It is not your typical romantic love story that you see on the movie screen. No. This is much more educational.
The events portrayed here are a true story about breaking down and breaking out, with the (mostly unintentional) help of a soulmate, written from the viewpoint of Elli, who unexpectedly finds herself face-to-face with everything she's been running away from.
This story is about a people pleaser waking up and feeling the rage of lifetimes. It talks about how we fool ourselves and let others fool us. It is about our own role in allowing people to abuse us; how we make it all be alright with the thoughts in our head, and how we can talk ourselves out of anything. Moreover, it is a journey of learning, growing and awakening to truth.
This story is for anyone who has found themselves in a difficult spiritual connection, in a narcissistic relationship, or in a "situationship" filled with confusion and uncertainty. It is for those who need help with putting things into perspective; who have lost, or don't even know about self worth and still have problems figuring out what is that mysterious thing called "self love". Apparently, it was never about scented bubble baths.
These are real life people and real-life events that actually happened, with small modifications to protect the identities of the participants in this story. The intention is not to vilify anyone - these are actual people with their own flaws, experiences, and traumas, who are each on their own unique path to find the light; who wants the light to shine on others and get out of the darkness, and who is simply looking for the eternal shine of a spotlight. On themselves.
However, events surrounding true soulmates are never regular and can feel out of this world. Which they often are.
