The air is thick with the salty breeze of San Juan, and young Pepe runs barefoot through the bustling market, his laughter echoing in the vibrant chaos of Puerto Rico. Life is simple, full of warmth and love from his mother, Carmen. But when their world is uprooted, and they board a plane bound for New York City, the vibrant colors of the island are traded for the sharp edges of Harlem.

Pepe's first encounter with the city is overwhelming-a cacophony of car horns, towering buildings, and faces that rarely smile back. The apartment is cramped, the walls thin, and the nights filled with restless dreams of a home left behind. His mother, Carmen, works tirelessly, her determination as unyielding as the concrete streets they now call home.

In the heart of Harlem, Pepe discovers a world of contradictions. He finds friends in Marco, Jamal, and Mia, each carrying their own stories of resilience and hope. He learns the value of hard work in a frutería run by the gruff but kind Don Tito. Yet, as Pepe navigates the challenges of a new culture, language, and expectations, the weight of loss looms heavy. Carmen's health begins to falter, and the unshakable bond between mother and son faces its greatest test.

PEPE is a story of transformation-a young boy's journey from innocence to maturity, from island shores to urban landscapes, and from heartbreak to hope. It's a poignant tale of family, friendship, and the enduring spirit of those who dare to dream, even when the odds are against them.

On a summer trip to Barcelona, two children-Matt and Elena-meet by chance in a McDonald's, under the glow of a midnight moon. Both are bored, their parents still in line ordering food, when their eyes meet across the crowded restaurant. Without speaking, they start to play, laughing and running around the tables as if they'd known each other forever. Their connection is instant, pure, and magical, as only childhood friendships can be. By the time the clock strikes midnight, the two have become inseparable. As it turns out, their families are staying at the same hotel and taking the same sightseeing tours for the next two weeks. This leads to a string of shared adventures-exploring the streets of Barcelona, eating ice cream in the park, and getting lost in the city's magic. Every day brings a new memory, every night a promise of tomorrow. But all good things must end, and as the trip comes to a close, so too must their time together. Matt is returning to London, and Elena is flying back to the Philippines. As they say their tearful goodbyes, they make a solemn promise: when they are adults, they will meet again in the same McDonald's in Barcelona. That night, before leaving, Elena leans in and whispers, "Give me a kiss, so you won't forget me." Over the years, Matt and Elena keep in touch through letters, sharing stories of their lives. But one day, Elena's letters stop coming. Matt writes, and waits, but hears nothing. Years pass, but he never forgets her, or their promise. The story is about time, distance, and the enduring power of a childhood promise. As Matt grows older, his life moves on, but the memory of Elena, the girl from McDonald's under the Barcelona moon, remains vivid. The story ends with him preparing to return to Barcelona as an adult, hoping to see her again, wondering if Elena has kept the promise they made so long ago. Will they meet again, and if they do, how much will have changed? (Story inspired by Crash Adams song Give Me A Kiss)

After being homeschooled until age 9 and then starting college courses, Edison doesn't have any experience with kids his own age. His parents believe he has a rare gift and they don't want him to be distracted by the menial problems of teenagers; instead, they want him to focus on his research project, which could be the next big breakthrough in physics. Edison loves physics more than anything, but loneliness and curiosity about life outside his world cause him to rebel. He goes on strike, refusing to continue his studies until his parents agree to let him go to high school for one year. Edison isn't worried about high school being hard--after all, he's been invited to join Mensa International--an exclusive club for the top 2% of the world's smartest people. But he finds out quickly that it takes more than a high IQ to traverse the social events and activities at Southton High School. During an unfortunate encounter with the school's most popular athlete, Edison meets Christina Blakely, who saves him from getting pummeled on his first day of school. She is the exact opposite of him in every way. Christina is a soccer phenom who doesn't have time to be friends with lowly freshmen. She's got problems of her own, including a low GPA, which could prevent her from getting a college scholarship. Can Christina achieve the impossible-the highest GPA she's ever had--and earn her scholarship? And can Edison prove to his parents and everyone else-including Ashley Murray, the most beautiful girl he's ever seen-that he can do more than solve difficult math problems? Can he really change the world with his research project, win Ashley's heart and survive high school?
