Samira 'Ira' Bitar is a 19-year-old trying to find her way through medical studies, being a baby figure skater at an ultra-competitive rink while also trying to step out of her brother's perfect hockey player shadow without being the family's total failure. On the other side of the rink - and usually the Atlantic too - is pro athlete team USA reject Kai Xu, at 22 and far from home Kai has always kept away from the locals, too focused on fixing the mistakes of two years ago. When Ira meets Kai properly during a coffee-filled study session at an overpriced cafe, nothing really happens ... until it does, and suddenly Kai's attention is less on skating and more on the short black-haired beauty hiding near the barriers; and when Ira's journal is forgotten after practice, Kai realises ira might be as shy as she first thought and Ira might just be falling for someone in a different league all together. In more ways than one.

Liam Carter has learned not to trust anyone-except himself. After a difficult childhood and a rocky start in life, he has fought his way to where he is today. When he unexpectedly gets the chance to work with one of the country's best figure skaters, he knows that this is his only chance to give his life a new direction. His training partner? Trent Walker. Multiple champion, ambitious, disciplined-and from a world that couldn't be more different from Liam's. Trent seems to lead the perfect life, but behind the flawless façade, a storm is brewing that hardly anyone sees. His biggest battle isn't on the ice-it's against his own father, who can't accept his decisions. What starts as pure training quickly develops into something more. Trust, closeness, desire. But while Liam is afraid to open up, Trent is fighting his own feelings. On the ice, they are perfectly in sync-but can they be in real life? And while Liam and Trent have to prove themselves on and off the ice, a historic decision by the ISU changes the entire sport-and opens up an opportunity for them that never existed before.
