In this Walking Dead fanfiction, Coen, a kind-hearted and skilled nurse, finds herself joining the group of survivors as they navigate the brutal world overrun by walkers. Despite the harshness of their reality, Coen's gentle nature brings a sense of calm and healing to the group, earning her their trust and affection. As she bonds with the others, she slowly becomes an integral part of their makeshift family. Among them is Daryl Dixon, whose tough exterior hides a vulnerable side that Coen is drawn to. Through trials, dangers, and moments of tenderness, she finds that even in the midst of chaos, there is room for hope and human connection.

This fanfiction follows the TV show exclusively with the main character inserted. There will be a few original scenes and conversations to explore the main character more, however it sticks closely with the tv show.

Along the way, she finds comfort in an unlikely person. (I do not own the original art for the cover) {I started this story back in December 2011 on Tumblr and although it didn't get the fan following that I had always hoped for, it did well in it's own way. It had loyal followers and I got comments on how much readers loved it. I thought I would try posting it on Wattpad to see what becomes of it. The story is completed on Tumblr and as I bring it over here, I'm also doing small rewrites to the story. There are scenes that I needed to cut out and change up just because my view of things has changed as well and I wanted this story to reflect that.
