Hwang In-ho was amazed by Seong Gi-hun's determination towards ending the games, he had never seen anyone quite like him before. No one had ever re-entered the games of their own free-will to try and end them, not since he had become the Frontman, and, to his knowledge, it had never happened in the game's history since its start-up in 1988. It intrigued him, he needed to know more about how Gi-hun still managed to believe in humanity.

Counts Total words: 120,757 Average words per chapter: 1,589 Amount of chapters: 76 ~~~ Y/N is a girl from America who recently moved to South Korea. She's just getting settled in when she meets an interesting salesman. He tells her that she can play games for money. Making a little money won't hurt... or will it? She'll find out when she decides to join the games. She may also find more than wealth and death in the walls. Maybe she'll find love. This story is a slowburn that includes some enemies to lovers themes/undertones. The reader is female! ~~~ NOTES/ANNOUNCEMENTS/WARNINGS: When Y/N is in the games, I basically follow everything in Squid Game Season One, but I changed a few quotes and events to better suit this book and the inclusion of Y/N. The only trait I have assigned to Y/N is her player number: 055. You can imagine something else though! It won't be very important later on. Some possible triggers including: recurring PTSD, grief, mental breakdowns, drinking, hangovers, very brief sexual assault, detailed sexual assault, etc. More time-specific warnings will be present with the start of each chapter. No warnings = nothing I think will be particularly bad. There's strong language and constant mentions of death as almost this entire story is hosted in a facility that runs death games. 𝒴oon Ji-ah thought she knew her older brother Seong Gi-hun until he vanished without explanation, leaving her alone with only grief and questions. Years later, she comes across one familiar yet mysterious card that may hold the answers to everything. Desperate for answers, Ji-ah enters a world of children's games masked in secrecy and death. She is finally reunited with Gi-hun under the worst circumstances. But she's not just another player. The one behind it all knows exactly who she is and believes Ji-ah may be the key to breaking her brother for good. Through the games, she becomes entangled with the seemingly innocent Player 001. But what happens when his cold philosophy slowly begins to crack? In a place designed to destroy humanity, Ji-ah might be the one who awakens it. * I do not own anything in Squid Game, except for my original character and storyline. **Warning: Contains spoilers to all three seasons of SG, foul language, violence, and mentions of suicide. #1 in #gihun - 9/18/25 #1 in #frontman - 9/23/25, 11/6/25 #1 in #hwanginho - 11/16/25 #1 in #southkorea - 11/16/25 #1 in #youngil - 11/16/25 #1 in #player001 - 11/16/25
