The New House

As if New York City wasn't already so expensive, after the pandemic, the prices of everything skyrocketed, including housing rents. For the past nine years, Aiza had been living with her family of six in a two-bedroom apartment. With a meager income her father earns as a taxi worker, and mother, Adeela, who takes catering orders from home, chances of ever moving into a spacious home are near-impossible.

When Samir becomes the second person to supplement the family income, they finally decide to move out. It is unbelievable when a well-acquainted real-estate agent shows the listing of a five bedroom house in Hicksville with a highly low and affordable rent. The family gleefully moves in seeing their dream become a reality. But their bliss is short-lived when strange things start happening around the new house. It seems like something already inhabits the place and they don't welcome the new family.
