In the moons following Slashshades betrayal Ashstorm has had her kits. The whole clan has turned their backs on Ashstorm and her kits. The only cats that will speak to her are the leader, who is getting very sick, her foster brother ,Darkwing, and her father the medicine cat, Darkleaf. Even the apprentice medicine cat won't talk to her. And now there are mutterings of an omen flying around the camp. Of course Ashstorm and her 3 kits are the centre of attention for this. Can Ashstorm push aside her feelings of hate and anger at her clan to stay in it?
