The story follows Baylee Curtis, the youngest of the crew. How the death of her parents and being raised by her brothers and the gang on the east side affected her everyday life. Growing up Greaser isn't easy, especially for a twelve-year-old girl who's desperate to belong yet determined to prove she can stand on her own. Every day is a balancing act. Between childhood and survival, between loyalty and danger, between keeping quiet and fighting back. With tensions rising between the Socs and the Greasers, Baylee finds herself pulled deeper into a world of violence, secrets, and choices that no kid should have to make. If she slips up, even once, the state could step in and tear her family apart for good. Can Baylee keep herself out of trouble long enough to hold her family together?
