What if true love could be found in the dark, lying calm with the moon. Catching The Crescent is about a girl, Lorelei Baker finds the light in her case the moon in this romantic story. Right before the start of senior year Ripley Hart, he notices this girl in the corner of his eye lingering. A crescent moon is a phase of the moon that occurs when less than half of the moon is illuminated and appears as a sliver.
These two sisters Lorelei and Serenity have been both adopted by the Davidson's when they were both very little. Growing up there was a tragedy that almost occurred with Lorelei, her cells "sickle" inside the body. Ms. Virginia Davidson is a doctor so she knows of the condition however it wasn't genetically fed to Lorelei. 
The only way for her to overcome this is to catch the crescent, literally touch the moon beams.
