"Are you kidding me?" he snapped, his voice sharp with irritation. "I don't have time for this!" I opened my mouth to respond, but he was already gesturing wildly, his drumsticks pointing accusingly at the floor where I still sat. "Do you know what time it is? I'm already late, and now I've got to deal with....." He cut himself off, running a hand through his messy hair as if that alone could tame the chaos. "Get up, will you? I'm not missing my cue because you decided to sit there." Heat rose in my cheeks as I scrambled to my feet, brushing off my hands and muttering an apology under my breath. His glare didn't soften, but he spun on his heel before I could say anything else, muttering something I couldn't quite catch as he jogged off toward the stage. For a moment, I stood there, the echo of his footsteps fading, my heartbeat still racing. All Rights Reserved
