What happens when fifteen year old Luana Warner finds out her entire life up until this point has been a lie? That her parents that she loves so dearly have been lying to her face about her identity for fifteen years?
Aaron and Juliette only wanted to protect their daughter, even if it meant lying through their teeth. Luana could never know her true identity as a half-blood, at least not until it was completely unavoidable. And now the truth can no longer stay in the vault. The monsters are looking for her. Her sight through the mist is getting stronger and her powers are getting stronger. It's time, the fates aren't going to wait any longer.

Just like his. ... Astraea Knight is a 15 year old girl living with her four older brothers, due to her parent's disappearance when she was 13. No one knows what happened to them, and no traces were found. Left to fend for herself in this big family, Astraea is forced to keep the family afloat as new and old wounds begin to open up. Seventeen year old Araba Dadzie suspects her parents, who have a strong dislike for her best friend Emma Woodburn, might be planning something sinister against her. She will do whatever means necessary to protect her friendship from them, even if that leads to someone dying. *** Childhood bestfriends Emma Woodburn and Araba Dadzie have shared a long history of laughs together and have sworn to never let anything come between them. They promise to be in eachother's lives till they're old enough to raise families and age gracefully. When they both start working as interns on a late night comedy show, Araba's relationship with her parents take a downward spiral. Her hatred for them takes a whole new level. What's worse, is that they want her and everyone else to believe they're trying to be good parents, while masking the awful people they truly are.
