As a fox spirit, Fang Chen had always regretted his actions which had led him to be banished from the spiritual realm. Now he is forced to live amongst humans to repent his wrongdoings, except he was given no clear instructions on how to return.

Moving to present time, a new student Xiu Yang has moved into his class. For Fang Chen, his name was familiar, but his face was not.

One day, Fang Chen and Xiu Yang ended up in a situation where one would need the other as both their lives would depend on it. But how can two people, who completely hate each other, ever come to an understanding even when it meant putting their lives on the line?
