Dr. Todd Kevin Young, a 54-year-old medical visionary from Springdale, Newfoundland, has significantly impacted healthcare locally and regionally. As the Medical Director of Main Street Medical Clinic and CEO of MEDICURO Virtual Health Inc., he has championed the integration of traditional and digital healthcare systems to enhance accessibility and quality of care in rural areas.

Beginning his career with a Diploma in Nursing from the Western Memorial Regional Hospital School of Nursing in 2001, Dr. Young's early experiences as an outpost nurse in Indigenous communities in northern Ontario profoundly shaped his approach to healthcare. He advanced his education at Lakehead University, completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2000.

Driven to expand his medical expertise further, Dr. Young attended McMaster University, where he obtained his medical degree in 2004. He completed a residency in rural family medicine at McMaster, focusing on the unique healthcare needs of underserved populations. In addition to his medical training, he pursued an Executive MBA in Occupational Health and Safety and is advancing his skills with a Diploma in Dermatology from Cardiff University.

Dr. Todd Young's professional journey has been marked by significant roles that leverage his expertise to improve community health outcomes. He has served as the physician lead at the Green Bay Health Center in Springdale and as the Medical Director at Valley Vista Seniors Home.
