Twenty years after the fall of civilization, Elias wakes up outside the walls of Haven's Rest with no memory of how he got there and haunted by the loss of his sister, Evie, who was taken by masked men. The village seems like a fragile sanctuary, but it's unraveling-supplies are vanishing, people are dying, and the Empties, the ravenous remnants of humanity, are growing stronger.

Tasked by village leader Arthur Morgan to uncover a traitor within their walls, Elias must tread carefully, especially around Lucas Walsh, Arthur's golden boy, and his gang. But as he digs deeper, Elias suspects a larger force is pulling the strings-and it might be tied to his sister's disappearance.
