The Hall of Royals

Eleanor was like every other seventeen-year-old girl, except she lived in a castle and was the princess of England. She was raised to become the perfect ruler, brought up to be the spitting image of what a queen should be: fierce, brave, politically sound, and the ideal wife. Despite her strict upbringing, Eleanor was a free-spirited, creative young woman who would rather spend her time covered in paint than attending her princess lessons.
However, everything was about to change for her. Eleanor was about to be crowned queen of England on her eighteenth birthday when her father, King Henry, would step down.
In distress, she wanders around the castle late at night, processing her new life. She runs into an abandoned hallway with portraits of her relatives and past reigning monarchs.
Overwhelmed by the weight of her impending responsibilities, Princess Eleanor collapses to the cold marble floor, her tears flowing freely, when, to her astonishment, the portraits of her royal ancestors, sensing her distress, shimmer with a golden glow and come to life, and they extend ghostly hands to offer guidance.
