"Oh we are." He threw something shiny at me, which I manage to catch. "I just don't want to get in trouble because of you. Wear it."
And with that, he left to check that there were no students around. Probably you're doubting our hatred at this moment. But I hate that kid, more than I would hate loosing the family prefect pin. I wore the small pin handed over by Cedric, remembering that next time I would be the one handing him something. A rose over his grave.
"Who said I don't want to?" I said back at the boy, trying my best to be calm. I wasn't mad, I just didn't really accept the fact that he thinks I'm weak. "Let's bet. If I get selected, you do whatever I say, and if you get selected..." he cut me off.
"You do whatever I say."
