As I moved to the center of my room to change, my fingers caught the hem of my shirt. 

I removed it and then my bra,what a relief!

I was already looking forward to crawling under my soft blanket and passing out. 

But then-
Something felt... off.

The slight chill in the air, the faint sound of rustling leaves. My brow furrowed as I glanced around the room. That's when my eyes landed on the window. It was open.

A wave of panic shot through me. My window was never open. I always kept it shut, especially at night.
