Shitty Defect (A Moonflower AU)

Ms Delilah Keen, sharp-minded and keenly observant, stumbles and makes a mistake amidst the creation of her first Ichor-based creation, the ill-fated Dandy Dandifier.

"Everyone makes mistakes, Delilah!" Delilah's associate and (at the time) boyfriend, Arthur Walton, reassures her, "I'm sure with your brilliance and your talents, you can fix him in no time! Right?"

A simple, absent nod was all Delilah could muster as she wiped fresh tears from her tear-stained eyes. Perhaps if Ms Keen were more enthusiastic about fixing Dandy, Dandy wouldn't have a body count of three - two handlers and a Toon (so far) - in the name of his adoration for another Toon, Astro Novalite; Dandy probably wouldn't even have a body count at all.

But, when you've spent weeks, months learning and crafting a little life form to nurture and raise, would you be able to hold its tiny hand and drain its life from its body, like it's a sick pet you're putting down? Even if it has murdered its brethren and her coworkers, almost got her girlfriend shot too, threatened her job, and had her teetering on life imprisonment, will Delilah be able to succumb to her guilt and put her 'son' to death?
