It's August 2015 and the threat of world war 3 is weighing heavily on the people of Sheffield, but not on Lavender Fray. For Kyle Robinson, the "cute" son of the owner of the restaurant where she and her mother work, has told her he loves her. Her mother is afraid they'll both lose their jobs but Lavender is prepared to risk everything for Kyle's love.
Michael Robinson is furious when he finds out his son is involved with a cook and they become locked in a fierce battle.
