Blairs life as a Tudor princess in 1492 had been simple, but she'd always longed for one filled with adventure. Little did she know she was about to thrown into an adventure filled with vampires, witches, doppelgängers, werewolves and hybrids...

When her lady in waiting Katerina Petrova writes to Klaus claiming that Blair is the true doppelgänger, and that due to the secret royal coven of witches Katrina and Blair swapped bodies to keep the princess safe.

Klaus gets word of this and immediately formulates a plan, he will court Blair, ask for her hand and then when they are married he will kill her family, succeed the throne, sacrifice her, break his curse and will grow his kingdom with the help of his hybrids.

There's only one problem, Elijah. Due to his good nature Elijah is struggling to get on board with Klaus's plan and worries that whatever was left of his brother's humanity is finally gone. Elijah becomes truly torn however when he accidentally begins to develop feelings for Blair and she makes him question everything he thought he knew from his 500 year old life.
