Months had passed since Furina's hand had been promised in marriage to the Third Fatui Harbinger, the Knave. What had been meant to be a union forged in political alliance and whispered promises of power soon turned into a nightmare.
Tragedy struck the almost-wedded couple when the Seelie-Colombina herself-betrayed them. Under the guise of offering help, she attempted to take Furina's life, shattering any illusion of safety and trust.
As blood stained her once-pristine white dress, Furina's mind swirled with memories and pain.
She reflected deeply on her life-the choices she had made, the love she had held for the Harbinger, and the countless ways that love had broken her spirit. Each scar, each tear, seemed to echo the destruction that had quietly consumed her from within.
Yet, amid the chaos and suffering, nothing made sense.
Why had she been the one caught in this web of betrayal and violence?
What was her purpose in a world that seemed so cruel and unforgiving?
Her questions remained unanswered until she was brought before the original Hydro Archon, Egeria. Furina stood on trial, the weight of her fate hanging in the balance as she awaited judgment. It was in that solemn moment, facing the divine authority of Egeria, that her understanding shifted.
The truth of her role-her true purpose-was revealed to her. No longer just a pawn in political games or a victim of circumstance, Furina began to see the greater design that had shaped her existence, a destiny far more profound than she had ever imagined...
But Alas, this was going to be the end of her suffering...? Was it?

//A mirror, a reflection of oneself, displays for you the parts of yourself you detest the most, while at the same time presenting you with the most beautiful aspects of yourself. What then, if your mirror is a person? Someone who can see through you, who knows what you've been through because they too have gone through it themself? Centuries of pain and torment did not set a sturdy basis for companionship to blossom, but sometimes love ends up being the only thing that can paint over the scars we've been given. An over-the-top showy actress was the last place Wanderer was expecting to find solace in, and a bitter puppet was not the type of individual Furina would even see herself wanting to spend time around, but fate was a curious thing, boundless and unforeseen. Sometimes a mirror is needed to find what your place in this world truly is.// Scararina fanfic(?) or whatever their ship name is. I know that this is kind of a out-there ship but I love the potential that their dynamic could have and wanted to write about that. And now, with the curtains closed, I-" Her voice wavered. "I don't know who I am anymore." A soft breeze passed between them. The city of Fontaine continued to thrive below, its people moving forward. But Furina remained frozen, trapped in a past that no longer existed. Neuvillette, however, did not pity her. "You have carried this burden alone for centuries," he said quietly. "It is only natural to feel unmoored now that it has been lifted." She scoffed lightly, though there was no real malice in it. "That's just a polite way of saying I'm lost, isn't it?" A faint smile ghosted Neuvillette's lips. "Perhaps." Furina exhaled sharply, shaking her head. "I want to leave," she murmured. "Start fresh. Find a new home." She let out a humorless chuckle. "I have money, at least. Being an Archon paid well." Neuvillette did not disagree. "...But I don't know where to go," she admitted. "Or who I'm supposed to be." A quiet pause. Then- "You do not have to decide everything now." Furina turned slightly, looking up at him. "The people of Fontaine do not hate you," Neuvillette continued. "You may not see it yet, but you are still a part of this nation."

Hello fellas, back at the GI grind again. Had the idea of a Knavelumi fic hanging around for way too long in my head, and now that I finally get to write it I am so ready to deliver. This one will be much longer than the Yelumi fic, and will also have faster updates as I don't have to wait for content anymore, since the Arle hype has passed and I don't need events or anything.
