What if Rapunzel stayed with Mother Gothel?

Set in the universe of the Disney movie, Tangled, not the original German fairytale. This story will follow Rapunzel through her life with Mother Gothel, had Eugene not cut her hair and allowed her to heal him with her hair.
I loved the Disney "What if?" books when I was younger, so this is kind of my rendition of Tangled "What if?"!
Chapter 1 (Acceptance) Starts in the scene from the movie when Rapunzel is chained up in the tower and Eugene finds her.

Side note: this is my first ever fanfic so forgive me if it's not good. I also came up with this idea while doing an exam on A Christmas Carol in English lit! So, again, please forgive me if it's not that good.
