Five Nights at Sit 'n Sleep

The True story behind Larry Miller's mattress store.

Originally, I saw a new Sit 'n Sleep ad with Larry Miller's som in it, Drew Miller. Didn't know his name was Drew at the time and I looked up: "Larry Miller's son's name." Not knowing that Google will give me Larry H. Miller's son's name. So for a solid 30ish minutes I thought Larry Miller's son Was Gregory Scott Miller and that they came from Utah. Immediately I thought: "WOAH FNAF REFERENCE?!" and started this story. 346 words in and I realized that I got my facts wrong and Larry Miller's son was NOT Gregory Scott Miller, but instead was Drew Miller, And Larry H. Miller's son's name is Gregory Scott Miller. Still I continued with this story cause this is funny silly goofy and I was already 346 words in and too lazy to correct the lore.

May I be clear that I have no clue if Phil Miller was an abusive father or not. I doubt it. Nor do I know if his mother died around this time or was still alive. BUT!

So.. Yes, Larry Miller sold and traded coins, yes him and Phil Miller went to Tokyo,
yes, Larry Miller sat on a futon and thus started the Sit 'n Sleep company with his father,
yes, Phil Miller had a friend who was a manager of a radio station and offer them a $25 (about $194 today) ad on the radio,
yes, Larry Miller didn't like the way the advertiser did the advertising,
and yes, Larry Miller practiced his voice to fit 1980-1990s radio standards.
