At last, Daemon understood his place. No matter how hard his mother or Viserys had tried to shield him, the truth was undeniable: he would have to fulfill his role. He would marry, tend to his alpha, and bear their children until he couldn't anymore-until he died on a birthing bed, like so many omegas before him, and like many more after.
Today, his life ended. And all he could do was stand by and watch.
