Indigo Lokelani has an almost peaceful life, and who wouldn't if they had the chance to live in Hawaii for most of their existence. With her mother working as known Astronomer for a nearby university, she's got full range to search the skies. She surfs the raging waves, hits balls out of the park, and runs in the morning. Not to mention her closest--and only, but too attractive for his own good, friend-- Shane Kamea, saves lives as a Life Guard.

While they both enjoy experiencing the stars and planets, Indigo's mother disappears and rocks both their worlds into a new dimension. A little overboard? No. This girl who has been home schooled her entire life is now forced to take the longest journey ever. To North Carolina, where the father she's had little to no contact for seventeen years, awaits her.

Ace Callaghan, tall with blonde hair and startling blue eyes, and also the baseball star on her fathers team slides into the home plate of her life. A new friendship is made, unexpectantly as she awaits news on her mothers disappearance. In the process, Indigo and Shane are both doing independent work to decipher this mysterious disappearance. Ace is found unknowingly slipping into this Diamond Doll's life.

People will get hurt, love will be thrown away, and trust will be lost. But is the reason big enough to worry about? See how Indigo, Shane, and Ace, are all thrown together in spiraling events of the stars that are larger than Earth knows.
