The Mordare Clan, the clan of Duke of Wentworth, is haunted by the “Falleron Curse”. The heirs of the duke are said to be cursed to die before they reach the age of twenty-eight and none of them shall bear heirs of their own.

The Falleron curse was born when George Falleron was killed by Lord William Mordare, the Duke of Wentworth, in order to covet the former’s wife.
In the span of twelve years, three of the heirs died. The only heir left is the current duke, Lord Cedric Mordare. Cedric however, did not believe the in Falleron curse instead, he believed that his brothers were murdered.

Emerald Falleron is a descendant of the Sinclair Clan. The Sinclairs were charged and killed for allegedly practicing witchcraft and sorcery. Emerald’s father and uncle only survived when they obtained different identities and used the surname Falleron. With the death of her father, the secret of Emerald’s bloodline was threatened to be exposed. She and her young uncle, Thomas, were forced to live in hiding. But after twelve years, her uncle was arrested, charged and sentenced to death for being a sorcerer.
Emerald blamed the Duke of Wentworth for everything that happened to her family. She vowed to take revenge by killing the last heir and the current duke. She, the lone heir of Sinclair, will end the Mordare Clan by killing the lone Mordare.

Killing the strong and masculine Cedric Mordare proved to be a futile plan. The young duke easily defeated Emerald and accused her of murdering his brothers. But, instead of turning the damsel to the authorities, Cedric Mordare decided to make her his secret lady and locked her in a secret room.
And as the two lone heirs tame each other, the secret and the truth about the Falleron curse slowly unfolded. Will the secret and the truth about the Falleron curse finally put an end to their dark history? or a new beginning for both of them?
