Evan Rosier is top of his year, he's one of the smartest students has ever seen, really, so starting his NEWTs should really be a breeze for him. The only thing about school Evan can't seem to get a grip on is friendships and social interactions, and the one person that is in his way of being better at both of those things is Barty Crouch Jr, Evan's greatest enemy. So yes, his NEWTs will be fine, but all Evan wants to do is get seventh year over and done with so that he can get away from his peers, so that he can get away from Barty Crouch Jr.
Barty Crouch Jr is the son of high ranking Ministry Official, Barty Crouch Sr, so naturally, Barty couldn't care less for the rules, in fact, he actively tries to break them. Barty has never much cared for school, never much liked it, was never all too good at it, he doesn't focus on his studies and instead focuses on building a reputation and picking on the ones who will let him, like Evan Rosier. He hates Evan Rosier, he has no rhyme or reason for it, he just does, at least, he's sure he does.
