Legends are real. Stories you were told in childhood about bandits stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, flying boys who can take you to a place where you never age and little girls racing through woods to their grandma's house in a red hood. All of them are real. And they live in ordinary people. Frank the Mailman. Tim the Butcher. All of them have the potential to wield extraordinary power granted by these legends which may choose them. However, unless you yourself are an Awakened, you won't know about this hidden world. A powerful sword can be hidden as a baseball bat, and creating electricity in ones palm can be hidden as a simple taser, all due to a mysterious force known as the Veil, trying to erase all knowledge of these legends from existence.
Avery is a highschooler who, following the death of his close friend, dedicates himself to uncovering the truth behind his murder. This leads him down a rabbit hole of immense proportions, uncovering long hidden conspiracies and revelations that could have massive impacts on not just the quaint town of Willow Creek , but the wider world.
