Cassie unwillingly spends her first days at her Mother's new house. To her surprise, things aren't the way they used to be. With Grace's help, she goes through the motions of figuring out who her parents really are, and how to deal with the newfound information.

Or, I watched the Sarah and Cassie Bit City episode, made it gay and ran with it.

Yes, Grace is Grace from NDPD, no I didn't plan for it. Yes, I am queer, and yes, I am very much alone.

Magnus narrowed his eyes. "You're using your concerned voice, which I hate." "You're getting a partner." Magnus sat up straight. "What the fuck, Ragnor?" "I know, I know," Ragnor said, holding up a hand. "Just hear me out. He's transferred from Los Angeles and nearly got himself fired. His father's an old friend of mine - Capt. Lightwood. I've known the kid since he was in diapers. He's a good cop. Smart. Passionate. But... a bit of a loose cannon. Kind of like someone else I know, back when they used to wear more eyeliner than sense." *** The first week had been... rough. They were both stubborn, with completely different work ethics, which had left its mark on their first days together. On top of that, Magnus was still upset about having cut his vacation short. They started with easy jobs - like the occasional drunk who thought urinating in a public fountain was a protest against capitalism. Magnus breezed through the days with detours into half the bars and cafés in the borough, calling them "informant check-ins." Alec called them "wasting police resources" under his breath. The second week was a tiny bit better. By the third week, they even laughed. Many thanks go to my lovely beta, Nurisiliel , who helped me a lot with editing 💗 and tirelessly corrects my unnecessary spacing, my overuse of capitals, or lack of them, and my sometimes messy sentences. You are a gem. English is not my first language, so please go easy on me. Please don't compare the characters with the characters in Cassandra Claire's books. In my story, you will only find references to the TV show. (I don't own any of the characters. All belong to Cassandra Claire. The story is my own.)

Dear Rory, I'm sorry about what I said. I'm leaving for LA in two days. Can we talk before then, please? We can just drive around as usual. I don't know how to do this if you're upset with me. Call me please. I'm staying at my parents' house. Love, Taylor *** Aurora Taylor has been living her best life for the past ten years or so. She works for Odyssey, a travel magazine based in New York City, New York, where she gets to go on dozens of trips a year to the most beautiful corners on earth to write articles about her journey. When she's not travelling, she also dabbles in fiction writing, a little secret passion of hers only few people know about. When the pressure of her two jobs gets a little too hard to manage, she decided to take a week off in a beautiful town at the beach in Northern Italy. A week full of unadulterated fun and relaxation, with unlimited glasses of chilled Prosecco and gelato cones. Or, so she thought. Her plans are completely ruined when she runs into someone she never thought she would ever see again. Not in person at least. A ghost from her past. Taylor Swift. Thirteen years and the universe decides to throw them together in a random town in Italy. Taylor does not believe that it is a coincidence. Aurora is a little reluctant to believe it. But thirteen years is a hard number for Taylor to ignore and she is adamant on making things right with the writer who finds it hard to forgive and forget all that was said and done thirteen years ago. *** This story is entirely my work of fiction. All characters and fictional places are from my own imagination except for real celebrities. The timeline is not necessarily a hundred percent accurate to Taylor's for the sake of the story and for it to make sense. I hope you enjoy it!
Driven to Distraction by _cxloe
40 parts Complete Mature
Alex Thompson was due to marry her high school sweet heart Eric Ramirez. Period. That's it. It's about as exciting as her life ever got really. She had a job, a good job but an unconscious reality was that she was bored. She had her back blown out once every three months, if that, and an overbearing mother who made her life hell. *enter Mitch* Eve 'Mitch' Mitchell. An outgoing, strong minded, independent, raging homosexual, lover to all, charming British soul. They meet by accident after a tough day at the office for Alex. A mistaken identity was all it took for a tiny little kiss. A moment blown all out of proportion for the Christian-bred Miss Thompson and her life turns more miserable than she anticipated for every time she turned around...Mitch was there behind her. Something about Mitch was new and fresh and her soul was just what Alex needed (little did she know). Secrets from the past are brought to the surface. A sad ending to a young lady's life. A realisation that family isn't always blood related. Alcohol isn't a medicine. Violence isn't a key. Hearts were never meant to be broken. Two things to take away: you never know what is going on in someone's head and the most important thing...you never know what happens behind closed doors. A/N just a random story about two people who meet accidentally. Plays with gender norms and very inclusive of LGBTQ (being a member myself). Could be triggering I'm not sure as some identity questions are thrown around. It does include smoking, drinking, some homophobia, profanities, violence and smut. Also anything in brackets with A/N means authors note and that's just me leaving a little comment. Enjoy...
