Cassie unwillingly spends her first days at her Mother's new house. To her surprise, things aren't the way they used to be. With Grace's help, she goes through the motions of figuring out who her parents really are, and how to deal with the newfound information.

Or, I watched the Sarah and Cassie Bit City episode, made it gay and ran with it.

Yes, Grace is Grace from NDPD, no I didn't plan for it. Yes, I am queer, and yes, I am very much alone.

New town. New identity. Same crazy. I love it!!! (insert enthusiastic voice ) (cough, cough) Not!! I hate it. I hate having to to hide who I am. But to protect the civilians and my new home from being destroyed like my last ones, I have obey the leader's rule. No matter if I do disapprove. But all of that changes when I meet, more like bump into someone who's special. ... DOOR OPENS. "Naomi Satchel!" my mother yells as she comes blaring through the doors. "Yes?" I say as I still lie under the covers. My mother pulls my cover from my body and tosses it on the floor. I quickly sit up in my bed and glare at her. "Get your ass up now you have half an hour left before your first-period starts and you better not be late," she demands. "Mom, this isn't my school. This isn't my home. I don't want to go." I whine and beg my mother at the same time to let me stay home. What was I thinking? My mom has an image to uphold being this perfect mother who loves and cares about her little baby girl. We both know the truth. Until a few years ago, I never even knew she existed. She and my father both agreed to send me here because they couldn't stand the fact that I fell in love with a black boy. Although neither of them would ever admit, that's the only reason why I know of her. I don't want to attend a school where I'm going to have to forsake who I truly am just to fit into their liking. How can I explain that to my mom when she sees everything to be black and white.

Officially a Wattpad Creator! This book is my lucky charm. Colton has grown up knowing nothing but anger, hatred, and pain. His past doesn't allow him to enjoy life like others do. Instead, he paints a glare on his face that scares most people away. And then suddenly, a petite little red head with freckles and a radiant smile shoves her way into his life, changing every concept he thought he knew and breaks every rule he thought he needed. With every encounter, the ice around Colton's heart melts until his heart is free to beat as loudly as it can, just for Lily. With a past even darker than Colton's, Lillian chooses her armor to be a smile. She has so many reasons to succumb to the darkness that fills her once innocent heart, but she focuses on enjoying the new life she just started. Being the new girl means she's free to pretend that she's just like everyone else, normal. And when she meets the rude and grumpy Colton, she can't help but notice how alike they actually are. Slowly, the two broken souls begin to help each other heal, and together, they start to learn what it's like to be loved, unaware that the ghosts of the past are still hovering in the shadows. **Topics mentioned in this story could be triggering, such as: Physical Abuse, and Sexual Harrassment. **There will be mature content (Explicit Scenes and Swearing). **All photos used are not mine and are found for public use. ** This is a work of fiction. The law is the law...maybe by BarbaraSz8

Magnus narrowed his eyes. "You're using your concerned voice, which I hate." "You're getting a partner." Magnus sat up straight. "What the fuck, Ragnor?" "I know, I know," Ragnor said, holding up a hand. "Just hear me out. He's transferred from Los Angeles and nearly got himself fired. His father's an old friend of mine - Capt. Lightwood. I've known the kid since he was in diapers. He's a good cop. Smart. Passionate. But... a bit of a loose cannon. Kind of like someone else I know, back when they used to wear more eyeliner than sense." *** The first week had been... rough. They were both stubborn, with completely different work ethics, which had left its mark on their first days together. On top of that, Magnus was still upset about having cut his vacation short. They started with easy jobs - like the occasional drunk who thought urinating in a public fountain was a protest against capitalism. Magnus breezed through the days with detours into half the bars and cafés in the borough, calling them "informant check-ins." Alec called them "wasting police resources" under his breath. The second week was a tiny bit better. By the third week, they even laughed. Many thanks go to my lovely beta, Nurisiliel , who helped me a lot with editing 💗 and tirelessly corrects my unnecessary spacing, my overuse of capitals, or lack of them, and my sometimes messy sentences. You are a gem. English is not my first language, so please go easy on me. Please don't compare the characters with the characters in Cassandra Claire's books. In my story, you will only find references to the TV show. (I don't own any of the characters. All belong to Cassandra Claire. The story is my own.)
