"Under the Spotlight" is a coming-of-age journey set against the backdrop of Sabrina Carpenter's high-energy "Short n Sweet" tour. As the tour kicks off, Sabrina finds herself not only navigating the highs and lows of life on the road but also confronting her own inner struggles. From the exhilaration of sold-out arenas to the quiet moments of self-doubt, this story explores what it means to grow up in the public eye.
Amid the flashing lights and packed shows, Sabrina learns that being a headliner isn't just about the music-it's about finding the balance between who she is on stage and who she is off it. With every performance, every new song, and every personal challenge, she faces the hardest questions: Who am I, really? And how do I stay true to myself when the world is constantly watching?

The A Team: A Novella oleh prettyoddGal

I lost someone dear to me in the midst of the Heroin Epidemic hitting MA in the last 3 years that spurred me to write The A Team. It is a reference to Ed Sheeran's song. This story was my grieving process. Without it, I'd be in a maelstrom of emotions that I wouldn't know what to do with. Also, my favorite band, Fall Out Boy, has a physical copy of this story. I gave it to them this past summer at a Meet & Greet in Mansfield, MA for the Boys of Zummer tour. I'd probably bawl my eyes out if I ever hear that they read it, but I don't want to hold out too much hope. They are my second form of coping with anything, and their music gave me the drive to even write the novella. Here's the description: What does it mean to truly learn to love your life again? Rebellious, yet exceptionally intelligent, Eugenia "Janie" Cole, asks herself this every day. Its hard to do such a thing when life deals you a bad deck of cards. Addicted to pain killer, kicked out of her only home for abusing and stealing said pain killers, becoming homeless, and befriending a punk chick by the name of Nina Monroe; a music scene junkie who seems to be just as messed up as her. In the hidden back drop of Boston, Massachusetts, Janie goes in search of her spirituality through parties, drugs, and that one beautiful moment that will explain to her why darkness follows in her footsteps. Will she find it all on her own before her past comes back to haunt her?

|||2021 WATTYS SHORTLIST||| Not everyone's high school experience involves hot romance, parties and big plans for the future. Some kids are shy. Some kids are socially awkward. Some kids have heavy burdens placed on them by their families or their religions. This is the tale of two of those kids. In her senior year, Sabrina Himmelschein feels like she has no privacy and no life of her own. She lives in one of San Francisco's iconic Postcard Row houses, in an Orthodox Jewish family with high standards and expectations. At a speech tournament she meets Neil Cannon, who lives up north among the vineyards of Sonoma County, where his parents happily work in the wine industry, despite being teetotaling Mormons. They form a bond, but reluctantly break it; the religious and cultural gulfs between them are too wide to bridge. Four years later, their dreams of changing the world reduced to retail jobs selling socks and cologne, they unexpectedly meet again. After the families and faiths they've depended on their whole lives have let them down in a dramatic way, Neil and Sabrina struggle with an important question: should they feel guilty about being happy to be back together?
