Elara Hayes has just gotten accepted into her dream school, Braswell University has everything she could every dream of and need of to further her education in ancient history.

However Braswell University is just as expensive as it is great so to be able to afford attending, housing, food, and other necessities Elara applies to a couple of restaurants and pubs in the area.

That's how she meets Mr. Callum MacLeod, an intimidating stoic pain in her ass. But it's not like Elara can say much considering he is the owner of "The Thistle and Dram" pub.

The more Elara works there, and the more she sees of Callum (the micromanaging prick) something doesn't sit right with her.

The pub is constantly being mailed and sending out mysterious packages but doesn't seem to be getting anything new in, the shady and rather loud business that goes on above the building (where she isn't allowed) not to mention the countless times she's seen her boss walk in bleeding!

Despite her better judgment, Elara needs to know what is going on and who her boss truly is...and set aside the growing feelings she has for him.
