After Alyana suffered a horrific car accident, it resulted her into becoming wheelchair bound. Let It Consume You
Give yourself time to feel your emotions But don't let them control you Let it consume you But not forever. There are moments in life when you have to let yourself feel, the pain the trauma, the depression the anxiety. There are also moments you have to force yourself out of the darkness, before it fully consumes you. These poems are the moments, when I stewed in my sadness, gave it the steering wheel. I'm Scared
"Daddy, I'm scared" was the last thing I said to my father before our family was torn apart. I was a slave. I was worked every day, every night. The worst thing was my punishment. It was cruel and I hated it altogether. You were raped. Drake, the father's son. He was the nice one. With his brown eyes, and his dark brown hair pulled to the side. Except, he's only nice when nobody was around. His father would literally kill him if he was being nice. And when things begin to escalate I find out who I am. Beneath The Light of a Dying Star
In these pages, the world is both light and heavy-sometimes in the same breath. This is a catch-call collection of my own poetry, prose and/or lyrics that I've accumulated over the years that I related to and enjoyed writing and re-writing. I don't know, I just hope you enjoy them or find some comfort in them as well. :) Also, possibly relevant, I'm queer, autistic/adhd and very traumatized so if you relate, you might, like idk, relate to these maybe or they may be a little too real??
