The reader encounters Tim, who eventually joins Jay and The Reader to record their horror themed journey to figure out the mysteries of The Operator, Alex, and the tapes.

He soon uncovers that what he knew about that entity and the horrors might reach further than he and Jay originally found out... and Ash seems to know more than what's being told. Keep friends close and enemies closer, if you can tell the difference. For Ash, that line is becoming blurrier and trying to keep friends alive along with herself isn't easy. Piece by piece Slender works to break her and force Ash to work as a puppet. Their choices may eventually come down to Break or Fight, better known as Submit or Die, unless they can figure out how to trust each other enough to work together.
