Whispered of Redemption

YN's POV

It's been three years. Three years since I left him. In that time, I've built a life for myself-a life filled with peace, independence, and moments of happiness I thought I'd never experience. At first, I was terrified he'd come back, that he'd take me away again. But he didn't. Days turned into weeks, then months, and he never showed up.

Maybe he got tired of me.

The thought stung more than I wanted to admit. A part of me missed him, even though I knew I shouldn't. My heart was so conflicted. Did I still have feelings for him? Or was it just the lingering shadow of the past that made me think of him?

I tried to move on. I met people, spoke to them, laughed with them. But no one made my heart race the way he did. Even after everything he did, the man who once broke me still lingered in the corners of my mind. It was a thought I hated myself for having.

I shook my head, brushing the memories away as I walked back to my cabin after lunch. The moment I opened the door, my world froze.

What was he doing here? My heart dropped, a familiar fear clawing its way back into my chest. Act casual, YN, I told myself. But it was impossible.

He turned to face me, his gaze unwavering. "Did you enjoy your freedom, honey?" he asked, his deep voice sending shivers down my spine.
