In a different world, but also similar to ours during World War II, the Raicy Empire, on a retreat, discovers ancient tombs containing ancient spells lost to time. Using these spells, they manage to exert global pressure to "win" the war, and ultimately control the entire continent. Now, ten years later, in the midst of a global political war, the empire finds a tomb containing a Greco-Roman structure. At first, it didn't seem like anything special, but they soon realized it was something much more powerful and valuable.
Inspirations: Portal: Jieitai Kano, Yojo Senki, and a bit of Wolfenstein
This is my first story, so I don't know if it will be very good. English isn't my primary language either, so there may be a few mistakes here and there.

Gate: War of Two Worlds. A Gate story loosely based on the Gate manga/anime. It starts similar and then goes on its own stories. It is a story when a alien Empire invades Philadelphia through a magical Gate in the year 2025. The US leads a NATO-led war in Humanity first interstellar war. A Ranger united called Vanguard-7 is led by Major Sharpe. He will have to face the unknown of this world while facing his past and upholding his ideals. This story has original character, original story, original locations and factions. The Gate story is a baseline for a far grander world that I have planned. Note: Volume 1 is a mix of Gate cannon and original work. Volume 2 is mostly a copy of the Italica Arc. Starting Chapter 25 is when the book becomes mostly original with only light story arcs from the gate cannon but with my twist. Humanity once stood on the top of the world. They ruled the planet with an iron grip. Their rise in technology, industry, engineering, and science were quickly growing. However, an invasion on a worldwide scale had occurred in late 2023. Though there were initial successes in repelling these unknown, mechanical entities. They would eventually start to gain ground through quick adoption of newer variants of their beings and adjusting to counter common military tactics. However, more was needed, so came the introduction of Nikkes, an experimental female soldier that would be the first cybernetic frontline soldier. Even though there were attempts of converting males to such a task, they would become unsuccessful, as it was found out that males were more susceptible to cognitive dissonance and suicide. And so, females ranging from 18 to 30 years of age would remain the main source of Nikkes. As the war raged on, more variants of Nikkes would reinforce or replace the quickly diminishing forces of the world. There would be a significant breakthrough in the Nikkes, with the introduction of the Grimm models of Nikkes. Five Nikkes would be produced by a now defunct company. This squad would be called Goddess. They would be commanded by a special forces Captain Nicholas Miller, and through their first missions, they would further prove the effectiveness of specialized Nikkes and even push the Raptures back some. However, even their efforts would not be enough to stop the tithe of Raptures from encompassing Europe. After many years of fighting, there was one last desperate defense of a structure known as the Ark. Unfortunately, humanity would end up underground where they would spend the next 5 centuries fighting the raptures in smaller scale battles, skirmishes, and special operations.
