After a distant relative's funeral, seventeen-year-old Hideaki expects life to return to its usual rhythm-quiet, predictable, and filled with his love for baking. But on his way home, he starts seeing something no one else can: ghostly children playing in the streets, their laughter eerily out of place in the living world.
