The rain poured heavily, masking the sound of Naksh's footsteps as he stood in the doorway, his face shadowed with betrayal. Avni stood in the center of the dimly lit room, her hands trembling, blood staining her sleeves-a stark contrast to the woman he thought he knew.
"So it's true," Naksh said, his voice hollow. "You're her. The Shadow Queen."
Avni's lips parted, but no words came. The weight of his broken trust hung between them, suffocating.
"All this time, you lied to me," he whispered, his hand clenched at his side. "Why, Avni? Why didn't you tell me?"
Her voice cracked as she answered, "Because I knew you'd never forgive me."
Naksh took a step back, shaking his head. "You were right about one thing. I never will."
The door slammed shut behind him, and Avni's knees buckled, her world crumbling as the man she loved walked away.
