Laine Harper, captain of her high schools hockey team has always been the best in the state and noone ever thought less of her. But when an injury forces her to attend physical therapy at the local rink, she re meets Mia Grant, a figure skater, trying out for the olympic team. At first, before the injury, Laine's rough edges and Mia's polished perfection clash, but over time, their shared sessions and late-night practices spark an unexpected connection.
