you are just an average human. who want's to have nothing to do with the recent changes in life. lived in sacremento until you were seven before moving toward san diego.
stuff happened at your school when you were seven, causing you to develop a sort of mutism, it wasn't physical harm to your body that did this, it was more of an emotional harm.
your heart was destroyed, your parents, seeing as this place wasn't safe for you, took you to san diego to live better, it didn't help your conditions. you had seen therapists but none helped you. you were soon homeschool after moving to san diego, your mother taught you how to write top-tier literature whilst your father taught you self defense.
this continued until you were a full adult, capable of taking care of yourself. but your parents' love never faltered, they allow you to work from home, as social jobs weren't the best for you, or jobs with people in general. you eventually left your parents' house, getting a house of your own in mt. ebott city.
everything changed when news blared about the old myth of the monsters coming to the surface, accompanied by their human ambassador. at first, you didn't know what to think, human or not, they all do the same thing, talk, sleep and eat. so, neutral opinion.
but when you meet this colorful group of monsters and tiny child, your whole view of the world was altered. especially after you met him.
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
