In a quiet village, 22-year-old Aaron lives a life shaped by grief and responsibility. Since his father's death six years ago, he's shouldered the weight of running the family farm, helping his mother through her unyielding silence, and busying himself while dealing with the mental toll of his losses. The music his father left behind is the only connection to the man who once filled their home with love-but even those songs can't bring Aaron's mother back from her grief. So Aaron sings them for her, every night, hoping to break through the silence. But what about his own voice? What about the songs he's never sung for himself? Shea, 19, is new to town and fresh off the heels of a decision that shook her world: dropping out of college to move in with her ailing grandfather. Independent and self-sufficient to her core, she's never relied on anyone for anything. But when she stumbles across Aaron singing at the diner, something shifts inside her. She doesn't just hear the music-she feels it, as if she's been waiting for it her whole life. As Aaron and Shea's worlds begin to intertwine, Aaron challenges Shea's fierce independence, forcing her to confront the uncomfortable vulnerability that comes with leaning on others. In turn, Shea brings Aaron a kind of warmth he didn't know he could have-helping him realize that the songs he's kept locked away may not just be for the past, but for the future too.

"And it took me a while to realize it, but everything I've had to go through in this life, all the pain and sadness I've had to bear . . . well, its led me straight to you." • • • After tragedy strikes Morgan Scott's family, she finds her life changing drastically again and again throughout many failed attempts of starting over. It doesn't seem to matter where Morgan ends up, the secrets and pain of her past continue to haunt her, reminding her that "starting over" isn't nearly as easy as it sounds. Ending up in her father's hometown a few months after the day her life changed forever, Morgan finds her life changing once again, and she only hopes that this time will be for the better. It isn't until after a run-in with the town's golden boy, Jack Crawford, that Morgan realizes no amount of starting over will take away the memories of the past. What Morgan doesn't know is that Jack has a secret of his own that's eerily similar to hers. And what neither of the two know is that their secrets will unintentionally bring them together, reminding the duo that they aren't as alone as they often feel.
