Second Chances

Cassie was a nobody in high school, tormented for four long years by Logan Blackwell, the most notorious bully in her hometown of Bridgeview, Washington. Now, three years later, she's reinvented herself-leaving the past behind as best she can, though the occasional nightmare still haunts her. She's thriving at UCLA, surrounded by friends, acing her classes, and working at the Drip Drop Coffee Shop on her days off.

But everything changes when she spots Logan in her coffee shop. The sight of him triggers a panic attack, sending her running for the door. Days later, they cross paths again, but this time, Logan is different-apologetic and sincere, explaining that he didn't know she worked there and never meant to scare her. He asks her to sit with him, hoping for a chance to make amends. Though cautious, Cassie agrees and follows him into a diner, where he insists he's a changed man.

What Logan doesn't immediately reveal is that he's been to jail for the past three years, reflecting on his actions and the damage he caused. He's been carrying a list of people to apologize to, and Cassie is the last name left. As Cassie remains skeptical, she can't help but be drawn to him. Slowly, she begins to see that he may not be the same person who tortured her in high school-and, against her better judgment, she starts to spend more time with him.

As their connection deepens, Cassie unexpectedly finds herself falling for the person she once hated, unaware that Logan has already been falling for her.
