To keep her scholarship afloat, Gabriella Lopez is forced to play a virtual reality game and must reach level 30 within six months.

***
When the poor sixteen-years-old student, Gabriella Lopez is threatened with being expelled from her private school, unless she volunteers as a beta tester of the recently-released virtual reality MMORPG, war of Three Kingdoms Online. The game, which does not allow its player to customize their virtual characters, will be presented in the game as they are in the real life, same face, physical properties, and intelligence. The system even forces Gabriella to choose a class that nobody wants, a support class. Little that she know that this game isn't just an ordinary game, there is a dark conspiracy behind the game-development that will decide the fate of human race.

Despite the rising death toll and Facing Fear closing its doors, when Mori discovers her sister Shiori is trapped in the game, she does the unthinkable. She goes in after her.
