You stand alone on your balcony at your own party, not looking forward to another year without him.

A voice whispers, "I really think we can do so much better. How about we try again?"

The clock strikes midnight, and fireworks go off; the New Year has begun-or has it?

You turn to the voice only to be taken in an embrace of the arms of the man you love, the one who died five years ago today.
