Lyra Warner has spent her entire life trapped between two impossible choices-live under the ruthless control of her father, the Supreme Commander, or risk everything to escape. When an unexpected betrayal forces her hand, she runs, aligning herself with the very people she was raised to see as enemies.

But trust doesn't come easy.

Not for Kenji Kishimoto, who sees right through her carefully crafted defenses. And certainly not for Lyra herself, as she fights to outrun the weight of her past-and the strange, unexplainable force stirring inside of her.

There's something about Lyra that doesn't add up. Something lurking just beneath the surface, waiting to ignite. But with war looming and secrets unraveling, she has no time to question it-not when the world is forcing her to decide who she really is before it makes the choice for her.

I don't own any of these characters except for my OC🫶🫶

Trigger Warning: This book contains themes of emotional and physical abuse, mentions of sexual assault, eating disorders, and intense emotional distress. It includes scenes of violence, shouting, trauma, and self-destructive behavior. Reader discretion is advised.

Lyra Jay Kellie has just had the second worst day of her entire life. It's right up there at the top of the list, just under her mothers death day. Her plane fell out of the sky in the middle of a storm and landed in the remote wilderness of the Montana Rockies. Her pilot is dead. Her satellite phone is worthless and she has no idea where she is. Lyra is utterly lost and alone. Good thing she's been taught a thing or two about how to survive from her world traveling partner and father. Then there's Nathan Wesley, a hunter and farmer, who later has the ultimately worst plane ride of his entire existence. Crashing just a mile or so from Lyra's camp site, he's rendered unconscious and cannot escape the flaming plane. Lyra sees the smoke and fire and hopes she can get to the plane in time. When Nathan wakes up, he decides to pay back this wild girl for saving his life by doing anything he can to help her get home. Even if that means risking his life for her. Can the pair survive the harsh Rocky Mountain wilderness and make it to civilization? Or will they fail in the face of an unseen danger? ------------------- Please be easy on me, this is my first official book. It is crazy and has some odd twists, so please do not judge. Meet Serenity. She lives a life full of fear; afraid to hand her trust over to a single soul. She's been hurt so many times, she feels as if one crack would shatter her world. So she keeps herself locked inside her own her own little world, not letting anyone in. But what if one guy can change her outlook on life with just a few words? When a guy unexpectedly stumbles into her life without her even trying, she's amazed at the way he stands out to her. He somehow makes her feel good inside -- something she hasn't felt in years. In fear, she tries to push him out of her life but instead finds herself feeling safer around him. Maybe what Serenity needs is to be shattered after all. Maybe instead of breaking her, it just turns out to be a breakthrough. Maybe a shattered world is actually a way of letting people, who you don't realize how much you need, into your life. **
