Doraemon: The Albert and Sidney Archive

In 1986, Canadian company CINAR produced a dub of the 1979 Doraemon anime set to be broadcast on SuperStation WTBS (today known as TBS). It was retitled The Adventures of Albert and Sidney. For unknown reasons, however, the dub never aired on TBS and aired exclusively in Barbados. It was lost in the memories of Barbadian children of the late 80s and early 90s until 2020 when the dub's composer Jérôme Langlois released a collection of snippets he had on VHS. These snippets and Langlois' résumé are the only signs of the dub's existence.

But what if, in an alternate universe, the dub successfully aired on TBS and kickstarted the North American anime boom a few years early? What would the episodes be like? How different would it be from the original 1979 Doraemon?
